Search & visibility
Ranking for your own name is not search visibility.
Most businesses are findable by people who already know them. The work is being findable by the people who do not — for the thing they actually typed.
What is SEO and what does it involve?
SEO is the work of making a website findable in search results for the terms people actually use. It has three parts: technical structure a search engine can crawl and understand, content that genuinely answers what someone searched for, and the signals — links, citations, reputation — that establish the site is worth trusting. CompanyWRX works on all three and reports against traffic and leads rather than ranking positions.
What the work involves
- Audit the technical foundation: crawlability, indexation, canonicals, structured data, page speed, internal linking.
- Establish what people actually search for in your market, including the terms with intent rather than only volume.
- Look at who currently ranks and whether those positions are realistically winnable — some are not, and saying so is part of the job.
- Build the content and page structure that deserves to rank, rather than pages written to hold keywords.
- Set up the measurement: Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, analytics, and attribution back to leads.
What you hold afterward
- A technical audit with the fixes ranked by what they will actually move.
- A keyword and content plan tied to search intent, with the competitive reality stated for each target.
- Reporting against traffic and leads — not a ranking screenshot.
When this is the wrong thing to buy
SEO is slow, and anyone promising fast is either buying ads and calling it SEO or doing something that will cost you later. If you need the phone to ring this month, paid search is the honest answer and we will say so.
Questions
SEO, in practice.
How long does SEO take?
Technical fixes can show up in weeks. Content and authority take months. Any specific timeline offered before someone has looked at your site, your market and your competitors is a sales number rather than an estimate.
Do you guarantee rankings?
No, and neither should anyone else. Nobody controls the ranking algorithm. What can be committed to is the work, the measurement and honest reporting about what moved.
What is the difference between SEO and local SEO?
SEO is about being found for what you do. Local SEO is about being found for what you do near where the searcher is — which depends heavily on your Google Business Profile, your citations and your reviews rather than only on your website.
Where this usually leads
This rarely arrives on its own.
You rank for your own name and nothing else anyone would search for.
If the outcome is what you are after
- Improve local search visibilitySearch your own service plus your city. If you are not in the map pack, neither are you in most customers’ consideration set.
- Modernize a businessThe business runs well and looks like it did in 2014. Customers ask questions the website should have answered, and your team keeps a spreadsheet because the system cannot do it.
Usually done alongside
- Local SEOLocal search visibility: Google Business Profile, Bing Places, Apple Business Connect, citation consistency, reviews and location pages that are worth indexing.
- AI search optimizationBeing cited by ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Perplexity and AI Overviews — through clear entity information and quotable, well-structured content rather than tricks.
- Website design & developmentWebsites built to be found, to load fast, and to turn a visitor into a booked job — with hosting, analytics and search structure included.
- MarketingMarketing strategy, paid search, social and content — with attribution wired back to booked work, so you can tell which spend produced revenue.
